Each year a variety of Georgia Southern University departments choose Burns World Travel to manage their group travel. And to the surprise of many, it costs no more to book your groups with Burns than with any other travel provider or directly through the tour companies and airlines. Because of our long-lasting partnerships throughout the years with our tour companies and the airlines, Burns World Travel handles charters, exploring, and learning group travel for University study abroad programs, the Education Department's annual England trip, the Eagles athletic teams, Model UN, and more at the best rates possible.

Whether the University is paying entirely paying for your group, or if the travel is to be paid by University students, faculty or any other persons, Burns Travel relieves you from the headache of dealing with and collecting payments. In addition, you will not have to deal with the airlines and tour companies- we make your group's travel arrangements trouble-free.

Important information:

A group must consist of at least 10 passengers. In most cases, Burns World Travel must contract with the airlines or tour companies to hold or reserve space for your group. Each contract issued by the airlines or tour companies are different and in some cases, airline tickets, once issued, are NON-REFUNDABLE and changes are somewhat restricted by the airlines. Once an airline ticket is issued, name changes may NOT be allowed by the airlines for security purposes (although with group travel there is often some flexibility). If you make a voluntary change to the itinerary of an issued ticket, certain penalties may be charged by the airlines. All airlines and ticket policies are different, so check with your Burns World Travel agent for details before making changes to an already issued ticket. Please note that Burns World Travel Ltd is an authorized agent for the airlines, and is subject to their rules and conditions of travel and ticketing.

According to most airline contracts, if your group drops below 10 passengers, the group is subject to cancellation and must be re-ticketed at the individual fare valid on the day that the number of passengers is reduced.

Once you are prepared to finalize the group, a passenger name list must be submitted on a Burns World Travel approved Group Passenger List form. Group Passenger List forms are available in the following two formats: .rtf (for MS Word or Word Perfect), and .pdf (Adobe Acrobat Reader). Select your preferred format for instructions on how to submit the passenger name list. According to the United States Department of Homeland Security, if your group is traveling outside of the United States, you may be required to supply valid passport for each passenger. Check with your travel agent for more details.

If you find an error on an already issued ticket or if you need to cancel a ticket prior to passenger's departure, contact your Burns World Travel agent at once so that additional penalties by the airline will not occur.
